High-speed Internet service is on the way

Braham, Minn. - If you can see the southern sky, you'll soon have access to high-speed Internet service—even in places where no service is available now.

ECE Internet's new WildBlue satellite broadband service will switch on in about seven months. WildBlue will provide speeds up to 25 times faster than 56k dialup. Pricing will be competitive with other broadband alternatives, including the installation cost of the dish, transceiver and modem.

The final frontier "Unlike older, less reliable satellite services, WildBlue uses a new spot-beam technology that improves signal reliability," says ECE Information Technology Manager Linda LaTourelle. "We're thrilled to bring affordable high-speed Internet access to our members who have never had that option."

Full range of options WildBlue is part of ECE Internet's new, expanded array of services. If you can't wait for WildBlue, you can get more speed right now with ECE Internet's accelerated dialup service. For just a few dollars more a month, accelerated service delivers speeds up to five times faster than standard dialup.

ECE Internet will continue to offer dialup service, including recent upgrades in spam filtering and virus protection provided at no additional charge.

Your ticket to more speed To reserve your spot on a special priority list for WildBlue installation or sign up for accelerated dialup service, you may call toll-free at 1-800-254-7944 or go on-line at www.ecenet.com. You do not need to be a member of the electric cooperative to subscribe to dialup, accelerated dialup or WildBlue satellite broadband services.
